RSAU-MTAA and the Union of Machine Builders of Germany have agreed on cooperation

A working meeting of member companies of the German Engineering Union (VDMA) was held on the basis of the Engineering Center of the RGAU-MSHA. Within the framework of the event, scientists of the Timiryazev Academy, headed by the Vice-rector for Innovation and Commercialization of Scientific Developments Igor Anatolyevich Popkov, discussed the prospects of cooperation with the members of the Union.

The meeting was attended by more than 30 heads of the largest companies in the field of agricultural machinery. They discussed topical issues of Russia's state policy in the field of agriculture and the production of agricultural machinery, trends in the agricultural sector and prospects for 2022. One of the most important topics of the working meeting was the definition of areas of cooperation between VDMA participating companies and the Timiryazev Academy.

The University was presented at the business event by the Vice-Rector for Innovation and Commercialization of Scientific Developments Igor Anatolyevich Popkov, Acting Director of the Institute of Land Reclamation, Water Management and Construction named after A.N. Kostyakov Dmitry Mikhailovich Benin, Acting Dmitry Andreevich Ponizovkin, Head of the Engineering Center, Nikolay Vasilyevich Aldoshin, Head of the Department of Agricultural Machinery, Alexander Grigoryevich Levshin, Head of the Department of Operation of the Machine and Tractor Fleet and High Technologies in Plant Growing, and Ivan Ignatkin, Associate Professor of the Department of Resistance of Materials and Machine Parts. The delegation presented to the representatives of the business community an Engineering Center created on the basis of the RGAU-MSHA.

As noted by I.A. Popkov, agricultural machinery manufacturers are interested in cooperation with the university. In turn, the scientists of the Engineering Center of the RGAU-MSHA are ready for active cooperation in the development of educational programs, advanced training programs for both consumers and agricultural machinery manufacturers, as well as in the provision of engineering services.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to create a working group, which included companies ready to cooperate with the Timiryazev Academy. The first meeting of the business consortium is scheduled for October 27.

– Attracting agricultural machinery manufacturers to cooperate with the University is one of the main directions of development of the Engineering Center. The participants of the meeting expressed interest both in working together with the Academy on technology engineering, and in further using the space of the Engineering Center for information and exhibition events, - said I.A. Popkov. – In addition, the support of student projects and startups is of considerable interest among representatives of companies. Thus, our partners want to maximize the involvement of students in the activities of their organizations. This will be achieved through the organization of internships, internships, educational programs and a number of other activities.

The German Engineering Union (VDMA) is the largest organization uniting enterprises of this industry in Europe. The Union operates in all areas of the machine-building sector of the economy and represents the interests of medium and small enterprises in Germany and abroad.
