In his report, V.I. Balabanov emphasized the leadership aspirations of the K.A. Timiryazev Russian State Agrarian University-Moscow State Agricultural Academy in the field of study, implementation and training of personnel in the navigation field. In 2007, as part of the implementation of the innovative educational program "Formation of an innovative educational environment for the training of a new generation of agricultural specialists", an educational and scientific Center for precision agriculture was established on the basis of the University's Field Experimental Station. For the first time in the history of agricultural education in Russia, automatic unmanned systems in crop production, technologies for differentiated fertilization and plant protection products, the basics of digital mapping of fertility, vegetation indices, yield and a number of others have begun to be studied, tested and applied.
The speaker noted that the Timiryazev Academy is currently conducting research in the field of precision (coordinate) agriculture at the sites of the world-class Scientific Center "Agrotechnologies of the Future", the Engineering Center, within the framework of the Federal Program "Priority 2030" and other research projects.
At the event, V.I. Balabanov and the Executive Director of the GLONASS/GNSS Forum Association V.N. Klimov held talks and agreed to organize a representative meeting on cooperation in the navigation field.
In the final part of the forum, the winners of the competition of final qualifying works of students "Navigation Reserve" and their supervisors were awarded. Among the best were representatives of the RGAU-MSHA named after K.A. Timiryazev.
In the nomination "GNSS in the digital economy: efficiency of infocommunication services" among bachelors, the winner was Artem Zagorodnev with the work "Development of plow attachments to prevent the spread of forest fire using the GLONASS system".
In the nomination "Development of equipment and technologies based on GNSS", Kirill Fedorov's graduation paper "Development of a two-jaw bucket based on the EK-18 excavator with automation of the digging process using GNSS equipment" was recognized as the best among bachelors.
The heads of theses: the head of the Department of Reclamation and Construction Machines of the A.N. Kostyakov IMVHS, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Viktor Ivanovich Balabanov and associate Professor of the Department, Candidate of Technical Sciences Natalia Borisovna Martynova - were awarded with special certificates and memorable gifts.
